Dana Altman? Seriously?
It has been reported that Dana Altman will be the new head basketball coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Dana Altman? Seriously? Is this a late April Fools joke?
Stan Heath had taken the Razorbacks to back to back NCAA Tournaments, but season ticket sales were lagging so we fire him and go out and get…who?
Heath’s style of play had been criticized so we go out and get someone with a similar style?
Dana? Isn’t that a girl name?
Dana Altman? Seriously?

He is a good coach. But not sure the current players will like what he will make them do. You will see a serious change in the type of players Arkansas brings in, and that may be a good thing.
But Dana is a girl's name.
Heath is at South Florida now.
Kenny,
I'm sure he is a good coach, and he might be better than Heath, I just think that the arguments given against Heath look pretty weak in the context of Altman being the new coach.
You said, "You will see a serious change in the type of players Arkansas brings in, and that may be a good thing."
That comment interests me. What exactly do you mean?
I'm glad Heath landed at South Florida. I hope he does well there, and think he will make an impact in the perennially overrated Big East.
Not a bunch of thugs, but actual basketball players. Many times Arkansas recruits "athletes" but not basketball players. When they were good they always had higher IQ players that may not have been as athletic as they are now.
