Miles To Go
When I am weary and feel nearly overwhelmed by all the things I have to get done, I draw encouragement and resilience from my favorite Robert Frost poem:
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Here’s to keeping the promises and traveling the miles!

You would know! What’s the dissertation status?
psh, I am not working two full time jobs, have a kid on the way, AND in the depths of easily one of the harder/more demanding masters programs (my Ph.D. is right at 72hrs and 24 of those are "dissertation hours, where I just work on the diss... you will have 12 MORE and they are all classes).
Rule 72 - Play like a Champion
Thought I was done on Thursday, but I was told otherwise (a good thing! just more work). I will finish today. Defending a week from Monday.
